Studio Faire is a contemporary art space in South West France, providing residencies for all types of creative practitioner. Situated in the market town of Nérac, in the stunning Lot-et-Garonne region, on the northern edge of Gascony. Here you will find the ‘real’ unspoilt France. Your hosts have many skills between them. Colin Usher is a Photographer and Digital Media expert and Julia Douglas a Mixed Media Artist (specialising in Textiles) and a Web Designer. Residents live and work in the house, studios and gardens of Studio Faire, a 'Maison de maître' built around 1840 and still retaining its period characteristics. Rooms and studios are spacious and mature gardens offer private, shaded space for work and play. Facilities include Desk Space, Individual Studio, Installation Space. Studio Faire offers all creative practitioners a change of pace and the space to create.
Applicants are selected based on their experience, quality of work, project ideas and compatibility with any other residents staying at the same time. Applications are invited from individual creative practitioners. You will be provided with a private double bedroom and studio space. There are also communal areas that you will share with two other residents, two hosts and two labradors.
